Summer has a lot of meanings to me. First, it means I am off of work for 8 weeks (one of the many benefits of being a teacher). It is also daily to-do lists, teacher trainings, weekend getaways, tutoring, cooking, reading, baking, daily dates with my DVR, Queen for a Day events, lunch dates, cleaning, re-organizing, crafting and more. I am just not a person who can hang out at home and relax (wish I could). There is not a day that goes by that I don’t make a to-do list. I live by them and doubt I could keep it together without one. This is week #2 of break and I have yet to get through an entire to do list. I’m up at 7 and have been staying up until 12, attempting to get as many things done as I can. I think that since i am off work I should be getting everything done that I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Well, if I continue on this pattern, I will be more exhausted at the end of the summer and won’t be rejuvenated and ready for a new school year. So, with that said, I’m setting some summer goals. Now, I’m going to be realistic. I am a person who likes to be busy and probably couldn’t function any other way. But, I’m also going to be a little selfish and do some things for ME!
1. Re-organize closet (Check)
2. Read a chapter a day
3. Try 3 new recipes a week
4. Go to the pool once a week
5. Clean all jewelry
6. Paint bathroom
7. Crafting (a lot of cute things on this LONG list)
8. Finish wedding album
9. Sleep in
I do realize (and hear it daily from my husband) that this is a time I need to slow down, relax and enjoy all the little things!
Am I the only crazy one making summer goals?0 Did you like this post?
