It’s Almost Time…

Teacher Week

WELCOME!! Contentment

It's easy to lose sight of the positive when negative things happen.  It's easy to lose sight of what is right there in front of you when you're so focused on the end result.  I think we can all relate to this.  Whether it's in your personal life or your professional life.  It's natural to look ahead.  It's natural to set goals and work towards them.  But, I (and maybe you too)  spend too much time looking toward the future... not enough time appreciating the present.  I saw this quote on a calendar in the bathroom at work.  I couldn't get it out of ... read more

Over 250 followers?  Wow.  I'm flattered.  That means it's time to celebrate. Many of you know I've recently become a Pampered Chef consultant! I'm stoked about this new venture.  I have an extreme love for cooking and baking, which lead me to start my Simply Made with Love blog two years ago. Teach It To Me Tuesday

With the school year starting next week, I've been in complete teacher mode.  I'm staying up late creating new decorations for my classroom and losing sleep each night thinking about everything I want to do.  I'm making lists and lists- trying to check off as much as possible.  Ah-the joys of a new year.  Anyhow, I'm thankful for Pinterest for motivating and inspiring me to try new things.  I've recently created a teacher website, where (eventually) all of my creations will have a home.  My goal is to dedicate one post per week focused on teaching.  Today, ... read more

August Goals

I've decided to keep going with my monthly goals post this month. Even though I didn't accomplish everything last month, I was able to do cross some big things off my list.  This month is going to be a busy one.  We have our final vacation of the summer planned, two Queen for a Day events, then I am back to work.  I go back on the 15th and the kiddos come back on the 23rd.  Busy, busy month.  So when thinking of goals, I need to be realistic.  I'm not going to have tons of extra time and don't want to over do it.
