This weekend, hubs was gone again this time not for work, for fun. His best friend is getting married next month, which meant the boys were off on a bachelor’s weekend away. The destination was New Orleans. He left on Thursday and returned Sunday afternoon. Since I was all alone, I decided to have a ME weekend. On Friday at work I made a list of things I wanted to get done. I tried my best to capture some of the fun with my IPhone.
On Friday, I had a Pampered Chef party. It pretty much took up my entire evening, so my ME time really didn’t start until Saturday.
First up was an iced pumpkin latte from Starbucks.
From there, I treated myself to a mani & pedi. My color choice was I brake for manicures. I really like this one. Looks like I’ll have to make a trip to Ulta and grab it this week.
Then, I went to Steinmart’s 12 hour sale. I didn’t find much, so I decided to go where I knew I would find things- Jo Ann Fabrics. I lucked out because there was a coupon commotion going on and I took FULL advantage of it. I picked up some fall decorations and things to make a few projects this week (fall wreath and monogram).
I’m not sure what came over me next, but I decided to go to Lowes. I don’t usually go there without D. But, I decided that our front yard needed some sprucing up and a little pop of color. I picked up some new flowers and potted plants for the front porch. Then I came home and went to work. I was outside for an hour and didn’t really think about the FL heat. This is what I looked like a few hours later. I didn’t notice it was that bad until I was out shopping later that night and my friend pointed it out to me. Whoops, I guess I still need SPF 100 at the end of September!
After all my yard work I was exhausted. I relaxed by catching up on my Housewives shows and then went out to meet one of my friends for a night of shopping. We went to two malls and lots of shops. I found some great fall finds and hope to do some outfit posts soon. We ended up at Brio for dinner and drinks. I was way over due for some quality girls time and enjoyed every minute of it.
On Sunday, I woke up bright and early and cleaned the house. Figured it would be nice for D to come home to a clean home. Then, I met up with Jen for breakfast at my favorite breakfast restaurant, First Watch. It was her fiancé’s bachelor weekend that all the boys were gone for, so I decided it would be the perfect time to catch up. It was the perfect start to my morning.
When I got home, I did what I had been looking forward to all weekend. I decorated the house for Halloween & fall. Here is part of our entertainment center.
I had a few hours to kill before my Sunday afternoon Pampered Chef party, so I decided to head to Target. I’m so glad I did because I FINALLY found my pumpkin creamer! HALLELUJAH! I picked up some more pumpkin goodies while I was there too.
After my Pampered Chef party, I came home and whipped up two sweet treats from Pinterest. The first was pumpkin brownies and the second was cake batter rice krispy treats. D and I will each bring some to work with us tomorrow. For the record, they were both scrumptious!
All in all, a busy but very productive and fun weekend.0 Did you like this post?
