101 in 1001 list finished…

One of my goals this month was to finish making my 101 in 1001 list.  I posted the list one year and one month ago.  I stopped at #76.  To be honest, I stopped because I wanted to include tons of stuff that had to do with having kids and a family but was afraid to because things haven't been easy for us.  But, I've learned a lot this year and one of the biggest things is that I have to take what is here and now and run with it. Indiana

Earlier this month I traveled to Indiana to visit one of my best friend's Brittney. She is the proud mommy of one of the cutest three year old I know (Kaidyn) and to her new bundle of joy, Keegan.  I planned the trip to meet Keegan who was eight weeks old the day I arrived.  I was also thrilled to be able to experience a bit of fall while I was there.  I had hoped for a bit cooler weather, but I settled for the gorgeous changing leaves, warm days and cool nights.  I was there Saturday through Monday.  I definitely needed a little getaway and loved my time with the ... read more

Book Reviews- Safe Haven & Heaven is for Real

Safe HavenI have yet to meet a Nicholas Sparks book I didn’t like.  I always have one ready when I go on a trip and very much look forward to reading it.  I was eager to read this book and immediately started it when I was waiting in the airport last Saturday. At first, I thought this would be a typical love story like Sparks usually provides.  And don’t get me wrong, there is a love story, but it’s far from ordinary. Early Birthday Surprise

When I came home from my trip last night, my parents were at our house.  When I walked in, my mom gave me an early birthday present.  It was the Cricut Expression machine. I have 5 big things on my birthday/ Christmas list this year and this was one of them.  I am so excited to take this new friend out of the box and try her out.  My mom told me that she thought I could use it a lot for my holiday gifts and wanted to give me some extra practice time.  Which is why she gave it to me 6 weeks early.  How sweet is she? Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday!  I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend.  The weather here made my weekend.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  High of 80 lows in the 60's.  I had the doors open in the morning and at night.  Loved it & can't get enough of it.   I'm super annoyed about my Steve Madden flats I ordered at Piperlime.  I've been looking for these flats for months.  I've been to Nordstroms 3 times hoping to find my size, without any luck.  They didn't even have my size online.  On the Steve Madden website they were $10 more expensive, so I ... read more
