Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend. The weather here made my weekend. It was absolutely gorgeous. High of 80 lows in the 60’s. I had the doors open in the morning and at night. Loved it & can’t get enough of it.
I’m super annoyed about my Steve Madden flats I ordered at Piperlime. I’ve been looking for these flats for months. I’ve been to Nordstroms 3 times hoping to find my size, without any luck. They didn’t even have my size online. On the Steve Madden website they were $10 more expensive, so I didn’t want to order them from there. So this past week I found them at Piperlime. I ordered them and another pair of nude flats. They arrived on Friday and I was so disappointed. Take a look at the pic below…there is an entire patch of leopard missing. So of course, I called right away. As luck would have it…that was the last pair. The nude ones were too small, so both are going back this week. I did end up ordering two more pairs or a different brand but looked similar. Fingers crossed that they will fit!
I broke down and ordered an Erin Condren planner this weekend. *Note all these orders took place before I made my October goals* Anyhow, I’ve seen many bloggers talk about these planners. I did just buy a Vera Bradley one, but I’m not loving it. It’s too big and doesn’t’ have enough space for me to keep track of everything. The planner is supposed to be shipped on the 10th, I can’t wait to get it in and begin writing in it. I may even go buy some new pens to celebrate!
I’m really trying to be serious with my goals this month. Hubs and I went out to lunch this weekend and stopped in Macy’s. I found a pair of boots I was IN LOVE with. But, they were $200. I did have a 20% off coupon, but that would only leave me with about $40 left for the month. And that won’t cut it. So I’m going to wait out the month and see if they are still available in my size in November. If not, they weren’t meant to be!
This weekend we participated in our first garage sale. Our community does one every year and this year we had a lot to get rid of. So, we took about an hour on Friday to get everything organized to sell. We woke up bright and early to set up shop. My mom came over to help me. I have to admit I was a little nervous. I was afraid I wouldn’t price things right and I hate haggling. But, everything went really well. We made $150. Got rid of stuff we don’t use. Everything that didn’t go made it’s way to Goodwill today. Fall clean out…check!
Since I had that cash burning a hole in my pocket, mom and I went shopping. I had actually already decided to go get myself a new pair of running shoes this weekend. I had a $20 off $100 purchase at Dick’s that was about to expire and it’s been a year since I bought new shoes. I bought these Livestrong Free run Nike’s. They are the new lightweight/ barefoot shoes, which I wasn’t originally a fan of. But after trying them on, I was sold. I ran in them the day I bought them and made it 3 miles without an issue. My knee and hip hurt a bit at night but they’re better today.
My mom called me this morning telling me she bought pumpkin swirl bread. Say what? I immediately added it to my grocery list. And it was a BOGO deal this week. I picked it up and can’t wait to try it for breakfast tomorrow morning. Paired with pumpkin coffee…perfection! If it’s that good, I’ll have to go back to Publix before the end of the week to pick up more.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
