Monday already? One would think I’d be ready for it after a three day weekend. But, I’m not. I had a great weekend, but didn’t get nearly as much done as I would have liked to. Story of my life. I did have a good weekend though, I hope you did too!
* I played with my Cricut this weekend. This is the start of my Thankful banner. Hopefully I’ll have it finished before my Christmas decorations go up!
*D and I were both off on Friday. I was excited all week for our day together. We started the day off going out to breakfast. We made a stop at Ikea for my craft room project and spent the rest of the day doing lots of housework. I loved having the entire day to spend with him. Wish he didn’t have to work so much.
*On Friday my dad came over to finish off our garage reorganization. The weekend before, my mom and dad came over and we all spent the day moving things. So, the clean-out portion was already done. We just needed more space. So, dad built and hung shelves so that we could have more space. Mission was accomplished and we can now fit both cars in the garage. D is very happy about this!
* Saturday I started my day off with Starbucks and shopping at Kirklands which just opened by my house. I love home decor and love even more that I don’t have to drive 30 minutes to shop there. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the Christmas stuff. I don’t know where to start!
* I had a much needed hair appointment on Saturday. I tried a new place and loved my new girl. I was there for three hours and am very pleased with the outcome. I went darker with some low lights and an all over tone. I’m ready for winter!
*I did a little shopping on Saturday afternoon and I scored big at Loft. It was friends and family and I was able to use my coupons on top of it. I got all the items below for just $50 (3 tops and a scarf). Love when shopping days work out like this!
*My craft room has had a makeover. For the past year I’ve been keeping my sewing machine in the dining room. The table was big enough for me to spread all of my work out and sturdy enough for my machine. But I was tired of having to move everything when we had people over or a large dinner. I wanted my dining room back. I’m also at the point where I would like all of my gadgets in one room. So D bought me some new desks at Ikea and built them this weekend. I moved things around and am thrilled with the outcome. Next up is more shelves in the closet, need to call dad for that one!
My new workspace…
*I had D take down my Christmas decorations today in hopes that I would start working on things. That did not happen. With all the errands I had to run, grocery shopping, lots of loads of laundry, baking and finishing my craft room…I had no time for that. Maybe I’ll be able to get a little done each night this week. I can’t wait for my house to look like Christmas.
