This is one of the first books I bought on my Ipad. I was excited to read it seeing as I love all Nicholas Sparks books and can usually finish them in a matter of days. Unfortunately, it was not the same with this book. I struggled to get into it. I probably spent 4 weeks on the first 50 pages. Another week or two on the next 50 and then once the story picked up at about page 100, I finished in no time. The book started out about a mystery in a small town. Of course, it turned into a love story of sorts with many obstacles in the way. I didn’t connect with the characters as much as I usually do in his books. There weren’t any tears shed, as they usually are in his books but nonetheless, it was a sweet love story that was worth reading. The reason I selected this book was because I really wanted to read At First Sight. Which is the second part of the love story. Now you don’t have to read one before the other but most readers suggested it.
At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks
At First Sight was a typical Spark’s book. A love story that pulled me in from the beginning. It’s a story about the growth of a couple starting out in marriage, getting pregnant and obstacles newlyweds face. There’s happiness, sadness, anger, jealousy, friendship, betrayal and a few good twists along the way. The missing connection from the characters in True Believer was definitely found in this book. Unlike True Believer, this one was a tear jerker. Overall, I am glad I read both books together in order to appreciate the entire story.0 Did you like this post?
