Thoughts: This has been a rough week. Last Monday, I woke up with horrible back pain. It lasted from 10:30-9am and then came back and stayed until 4pm. I thought I was in labor, took a shower, packed the rest of the bags and headed to the Dr. first thing expecting to hear it was time. That was not the case. I hadn’t progressed at all. The Dr. said my pains were “normal” pregnancy pains and offered ambien to sleep. I wanted no part of the meds and knew she wasn’t really grasping what I was trying to tell her. I left the appointment defeated and still in pain. I kept my weekly appointment Thursday with a Dr. I’ve seen more often, again hoping to go, hear there was progress which of course would explain all the back pain. Right away I heard there was no progress and he mentioned the pain could be my kidneys but didn’t offer any testing, just pain killers. Which again, I refused the meds. I haven’t taken anything thus far and don’t want to start now. I left the appointment in tears. I prayed I would be able to make it to my next appointment on Thursday, the 9th. Sunday night the pain started up again and was by far the worst I’ve experienced. I was up all night again, couldn’t lay down, stand up, sit up, bend over, etc. I finally woke hubs up at 4 and he went to the store and got me tylenol, took my phone and called my dr. They told me to go in first thing. I didn’t have any hopes in going in for the appointment, since I’ve done it before. Mom came to take me to the Dr, at this point I was throwing up and dizzy so no driving for me and hubs had an important day at work. And this time we saw my favorite Dr. He listened to all of my symptoms and sent me for an ultrasound. About an hour and a half later, I learned I had fluid in my kidneys, which is what is causing all the pain. Unfortunately, the only thing that will get rid of the pain is delivering my sweet girl. Therefore, we are checking into the hospital on Thursday night and will be induced on Friday morning. Since I’ll be 39 weeks, I feel comfortable with this plan. I’m hoping the next few days fly by. I’m pretty much on bed rest due to the pain so hopefully I can count on blogger and Pinterest to pass time. By this time next week, we will be home with our little one!
