This weekend seemed to go by faster than most. It was jammed packed from the minute hubs got off work on Friday to the minute I sat down to write this post. As soon as he got home Friday we went to Sam’s to get pizza for dinner. They have the best take & bake pizzas, for about $8. We also picked up a few gifts and meat for the week. After that, we played with AG and caught up on our DVR shows.
Saturday morning was spent catching up on embroidery orders and preparing for my annual cookie exchange. We also took some time to go get AG her first Christmas tree! Our big tree is fake and I really wanted to have the tradition of picking out a tree every year. So, we decided that she’ll have her own little tree & ornaments.
Later that evening my mom came to spend the night and hubs went to the USF game. While he was gone mom & I took AG to a pottery place I used to work at in college to make an ornament with her footprint. I can’t wait to pick it up and add it to her tree! The remainder of the evening was spent in the kitchen baking away, sipping on wine and watching Christmas movies. There is no way I could have pulled off this cookie exchange without her help.
Sunday started out with our first breakfast out since the baby was born. We used to always to go to First Watch for breakfast on the weekend, but some things aren’t as convenient with a baby in tow. AG did great though and we had a wonderful breakfast. The rest of the day was a blur. I baked, cooked, cleaned, decorated and enjoyed every minute of my cookie exchange party with some very special women in my life!
