This past weekend our best friends threw us a going away party.
It was such a sweet gesture.
As soon as we arrived, we immediatly noticed the party was Texas themed.
We had cowboy hats and lots of other props ready for us to use.
All of the food came from our favorite BBQ place.
And all of our friends were in their Texas gear, boots, hats and lots of plaid!
Best of all, Jen made a DVD for us of the past 10 years of friendship.
It was more than I ever expected.
My heart was completely full that night.
We both felt so loved.
Which of course, makes it harder to say see you later…
Hubs and I
The Food (that I couldn’t stop eating)
My favorite appetizer of the night.
I’ve already made it at home, I will be sharing the recipe soon!
The gracious hosts.
Every little detail was perfect, Jen out did herself.
Hubs and our match maker, as he likes to refer to himself.
All the boys at the party, most are Lambda Chi brothers.
The spouses and girlfriends.
And the sweetest gift ever.
I can’t wait to hang this in our new home (when we find one to rent!)
Our hearts will always be in Tampa, that is for sure.
As we left the party that night, hubs looked at me and said he didn’t want to move.
We both felt the same way.
These friends have been in his life for over 10 years.
We see them every weekend in the fall.
Every accomplishment is celebrated with them.
They are our support through the hard times.
They are the family we chose for ourselves.
We both know that it’s going to be hard to leave them all.
We know that we will make new friends but our old ones will never be replaced.
And we know that no matter the distance, they will continue to be a big part of our lives.
We love you all so much, thank you for this night we will never forget.
