I had my first mani and pedi in TX last weekend. It was pretty good, not great but I’ve been going to my place in FL for 8 years. It’s going to be hard to replace them. I bought this color recently. I was looking for a color a little darker than my OPI “you don’t know jacque” which is usually my fall go-to color. This is Essie’s smokin’ hot, definitely a perfect October color.

I’m not a beer drinker at all. Never have been. I do have a love of pumpkin and hubs said I needed to try this beer. I have to say, it was pretty darn good. I didn’t drink the whole bottle. I drink too slow and warm beer is no bueno. Hubs loves it and I’m sure I’ll be enjoying another one this weekend!

A friend of mine made this dip for our going away party last month. I didn’t move away from it all night at the party, it’s amazing. I make it once a week and usually eat it for lunch with pita chips or by itself. You’re missing our if you haven’t tried this. Promise.

AG and I headed to a local outdoor mall the day my parents left. I knew it was going to be a hard day, one that only a little retail therapy could make better. The mall was gorgeous. My first stop was Nordstrom. I had a $20 reward burning a hole in my pocket. I decided to splurge on these pretties. I’ve had my eye on them for a long time and know they will be just perfect for fall.

As sad as I am to see September go, I’m ready for October. I’m ready for a month of no traveling. A whole month where my little family is together. I’m ready to meal plan, get back to my monthly goals and explore San Antonio. October, I welcome you with open arms and ask that you go by realllllly sloooow. Thank you.

I love those shoes. They're a great Fall staple to have in your closet. And I love that nail polish too!
Glad you are settling in to tx! I've always wanted to go! It's on my list! Love that polish color!! Have a great weekend!!
So excited for you to be (almost) settled and enjoying your time as a family! I have to say, from your posts in IG, Texas looks gorgeous!!
I'm about to retire my last pair of TB flats – not going to lie, I was a little disappointed. They're the perfect staple, but I go through the leather so fast! After 4 months there were holes near the soles… Seemed to happen way faster than my first pair of Revas. Can't wait to hear if you love these. Have a great weekend!!
Ok, you've inspired me…I'm so going to get Essie's Smokin' Hot polish! You're the 2nd blog I've read today with that color and it looks SO good on {and of course, Fallish too}! I hope TX is treating you good! 😉 I'm in Houston, but if I were closer, I'd say we had to meet up! Maybe one day! 🙂 Have a great weekend!!!
LOVE those shoes….you will not regret that purchase one bit! And I love your nail color too….might just have to copy it!

I am wearing French Quarter For Your Thoughts and love it! It's not as dark was what you are sporting but a good transition color.
I've been in Austin for 8 months and can't find a good nail salon. It makes me wonder what the deal is here. I loved my place in Ohio.
Pretty nail color! I need to sneak away for a fall pedicure soon! Love those new shoes. They're so comfortable and that's a great color – I bet you'll wear them like crazy this fall! Hope you're settling in well in TX!
OH so envious of those shoes! Love them!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Texas caviar is sooo good!!! 🙂
Love that october quote and picture!
Love those Tory's!
Texas caviar is my FAVORITE! Oh my gosh, I need some now haha
Visiting from the 5 on Friday linkup! Love the polish and the cute shoes! I need to get some essie polish – it's on so many blogs today and such shiny, perfect colors!
I have been eying those shoes too, but can't bring myself to just pull the trigger and buy them — my husband would just die if he knew how much they cost. I still think I might treat myself to them for my birthday next month!
Your nail color is so pretty! I had shellac done in a summery color done a few weeks ago and now I need a change! Is your mani shellac?
