It’s been fun linking up with many of my favorite mamas this month for Kid Tested, Mom Approved link party. The final topic for the month is go-to baby gear. Here are the things I couldn’t live without.
This was the second diaper bag I had. I had a Coach one first but it became filthy and hard to clean. I picked this bag out for myself for Mother’s Day. I love the size of it. It’s not too big but can hold everything I want to throw in it. There are enough compartments to where it doesn’t feel cluttered, no matter how much junk is in it. When I hang it off the mommy hook on the stroller, it doesn’t touch the wheels (which my Coach one did). It’s easy to clean and comes with a matching comfortable changing pad.
I didn’t get a wrap until AG was about one month old. She was fussy and never wanted to be put down. A friend offered me hers to try out and I immediately fell in love. AG loved being snuggled to my chest and I was able to get so much more done throughout the day. This was a life saver. I used this until she was almost 6 months old.
We have the Marathon model and have been using it since AG was 6 months. She didn’t outgrow her baby carrier yet but she did better in the bigger carseat.
This is a recent purchase for me. I actually bought it when AG was an infant but liked the wrap much better. I bought this for all of the traveling we will be doing over the next year. I like that I can wear her on my back or the front. I’ve put her in it a few times and she has been pretty good in it. The real test will be how she does when we travel.
My child is not a fan of the car. It was horrible when she was an infant. Thankfully it has gotten much better. Unfortunately, she still gets fussy if we’re in the car for more than 10 minutes. A few months ago we bought this headrest mount for the iPad. We downloaded baby Einstein videos to it and tried them in the car for AG. She loves them and will sit quietly through an entire video (30 minutes). This buy was a game changer!
The one thing I didn’t shop for was strollers. Almost every single friend of mine had this stroller. They all did a lot of research and chose this one. I absolutely love it. I can take it in and out of the car with one hand. It’s so easy to fold up. I run with it all the time and have never had an issue. I don’t have one complaint about this stroller.
What were some of your go-to baby gear items?
