I’m happy you’re here and I plan on enjoying ALL 31 days of you.
I’m excited to get back to setting goals this month.
I haven’t set goals since July.
I miss it. I miss having a written (and posted) list of things to accomplish.
I’m hoping that by the end of the month everything in our house will have a home.
We still have some things here and there we need to put away and others to hang.
I’m adding it all to D’s honey do list and hopefully he can tackle a list of 5 items in 31 days =-)
Complete 4 things off my Fall Bucket List
It’s Halloween costume time!!!!
I have an idea of what I would like for AG to be, I just have to find the costume.
I also haven’t made her any fall or halloween shirts.
She always gets the shaft when it comes to embroidered shirts!
Get involved and start establishing a routine.
The hardest part of this move is going to be making friends.
I can get out there, keep myself busy, join things but actually making friends makes me nervous.
I really wish we were in Houston! There are so many bloggers that I love there!
I will say one BIG positive is we have close friends (from FL) about 2 hours away.
They’ve already come up here once and will be here again this weekend.
I’m hoping to get involved in a moms group this month.
I was able to get AG registered for story time at the library, which we start tomorrow.
Yes, I had to set the alarm on my phone to get registered for the month.
We are also going to a Little Gym class this morning which I am so excited about.
I think AG is going to absolutely love it. If she does, we will definitely be going once a week.
Hubs and I have also decided to join the Y here. It’s a really really small gym. No where near the size of our old one. They do offer child care and I really liked the girls who were working when I took a tour. They also have the classes I enjoy. Hubs doesn’t have his basketball court, but he will make do. The alternative was another gym in the area (the one hubs voted for) that was $180 a MONTH for the three of us. A MONTH. No thank you. Now lets up little miss does better here than in FL.
Learn how to use my new embroidery machine.
This year has been a the year of unexpected.
I expected to go back to teaching (part time).
Now that we are in TX, plans have changed.
Since my business is doing very well, I decided to take the next step.
We bought a 6 needle embroidery machine last week.
I was nervous to spend the money but know that this is an investment in the business.
I enjoy making things and am looking forward to see where this takes me.
The hard part is taking the training to get the machine.
I can’t take it home until I get trained on it, which takes three hours.
Problem is, the shop closes at 6pm. Hubs gets off work at 6pm.
We don’t have anyone we trust here to babysit yet.
Looks like I may have to wait until my mom is here in two weeks to get it done.
Catch up on 100 Days to Christmas.
I have to be honest, I haven’t even opened my binder.
I am about two weeks behind, but I’m sure I can catch up in no time.
I know Christmas won’t be the same this year since we will be in FL for a week in November and 10 days in December. I won’t be able to do a lot of the things I like to at home but time with family and friends will be the new perfect christmas recipe this year. I do need to start getting creative with gift ideas. I don’t like sending gifts from a store. I like to make something personalized and put a lot of thought into it. I know, you’re shocked aren’t you?
Post 6 new recipes on Simply Made with Love.
I’ve been a baking machine lately.
Did you see my baked german chocolate donuts on Instagram?
I’ve also made some pretty tasty crock pot meals that have been perfect for football Sundays.
I just need to take an hour or two, sit down and get them posted.
