Well Hello Twenty Five Weeks!
I have to admit, I am not one of those women who absolutely loves being pregnant. I feel guilty saying that because I feel blessed to be able to be pregnant again. Pregnancy will never ever be something I take for granted. I love all of the baby kicks and everything having to do with baby in my belly. But, I don’t love what pregnancy does to my body. All women carry and experience pregnancy differently. Lately, the swelling every morning and discomfort that comes with it has been rough. I’ve been nauseous in the mornings again for the past week and the exhaustion for me hasn’t gone away. Some days I feel like I can take on the world and get tons done, the next two days after that I’m pretty much out of commission. I just miss feeling like myself. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m happy to see 25 weeks. Grateful to be close to the final trimester. As much as I may not love my pregnant body, I do love everything else pregnancy brings. I am going to do my best to enjoy and soak up this last stretch, as this will most likely be my last pregnancy.
On a completely different note, I chopped my hair this past week. I took 4 inches off. My hair was growing like crazy and I didn’t have the energy to take a half hour to dry it. The weight taken off feels amazing. I’m not in love with the length but it will grow back over time. I also had my color touched up. Last week my husband asked if my hair had always been that brown. I laughed, thinking we’ve known each other for over 10 years and you’re just noticing my natural color. Then, I took a closer look and noticed that my roots looked really light. While at the hairdresser, she asked if I had done anything to my hair on my own. After I told her I hadn’t, she said that it looked like I had bleached my hair. It was so light and brassy in certain spots but not all over. Just another crazy thing that pregnancy can do to your body!
AG is giving her brother kisses above. So sweet.
Gender: IT’S A BOY!Movement: Lots of movement this week. I’ve been able to see him move just by looking at my belly. He is still the most active at night and in the morning.
Sleep: Hot and cold. Some nights I have no complaints and others I’m lucky to get 5 hours. My biggest problem is falling back to sleep after waking up. So whether it’s bathroom breaks, Avery coughing or hubs getting up for cross fit, it takes about an hour to fall back to sleep.
Cravings: None this week.
Aversions: None this week.
Symptoms: Same as last week. Heartburn everyday. Swelling, mainly in my feet every morning. It’s not visually obvious but my skin is very tight and feet are sore. Back pain has been better which I attribute to changing up my workout last week.
What I Miss: Spring. This summer Texas heat is no joke! What I’m Looking Forward To: Seeing my family and friends next week!
