Welcome to the second week of the One Year and Beyond Series. Thank you to those of you who took the time to read the posts from last week and those of you who linked up as well. The topic for today is favorite summer activities. My goal this summer was to do something fun everyday with AG. Whether it was going out and about exploring or staying in and creating something at home. This summer is a pretty big deal for her. It’s the last summer before she starts MDO and also the last few weeks as an only child. With all the changes coming, I really wanted to make this a special summer for the both of us.
Nothing screams summer more than ice cold popsicles.
I love making them at home with AG.
These were made with fresh strawberries, pineapple and a splash of OJ.
Of course, there is no better place to enjoy the popsicle than outside on the deck.
Water Play & Table Fun
A water table was one of the best toy investments we’ve made.
Living in FL and TX, it’s a must have over the hot summer months.
AG usually goes out and plays in the water at least three times a week.
We also love heading to the pool over the summer.
Pool playdates are a big hit around here!
Make Cloud Dough
I still need to blog about this one for Mommy School.
It’s one of our favorite at home summer activities thus far.
All you need to make it is a tub, flour and baby oil (or any oil.)
Just mix 4 cups of flour with 1 cup of oil, mix well.
It forms a sand like mixture. AG loves it.
Find fun things to do around town.
One of the things I like about San Antonio is that there is a lot to do with kiddos.
The picture below was taken at a place called Morgan’s Wonderland.
It’s the perfect place to spend the morning filled with things for the littles.
There are a few rides, a train, sensory village, playgrounds, a carousel and much more.
We also love the museums, tot time at the local gyms and visiting the zoo.
Visit your favorite or a new park.
AG is OBSESSED with slides right now.
If we’re at a park, she’ll just go down the slide over and over again.
Don’t forget to visit the other hosts and check out how they keep their littles entertained over the summer!
