8 weeks to go! Some days I feel ready to conquer the next 8 weeks. Others I don’t know how I’m going to make it. We have a lot happening over the next month around here, which should hopefully make the time fly by. Lots of crazy exciting things that I will be sure to share soon.
In other big news, Dunkin Donuts opened 10 minutes from our house. No more driving 30 minutes to find one. Too bad I really have no taste for their coffee that I usually love right now. There is also a snow cone shop that just opened last week. We haven’t been there yet but a trip is definitely in our near future!
Gender: IT’S A BOY!Movement: Movements are getting bigger and bigger by the day.
Sleep: Much better! This week I decided to take my prenatal vitamins earlier in the day instead of right before bed. Holy moly, what a difference that made. It no longer took me hours to fall asleep every night and I don’t feel nearly as nauseous. I’m kicking myself for not figuring it out sooner.
Cravings: Ice cream this week.
Symptoms: I made a comment last week about my feet not growing this time around. I spoke too soon. They have grown a tad, hopefully not much more over the next 8 weeks. Swelling is still very minimal, which I am beyond grateful for. Back pain is only bad at night after I’ve been standing working for 4 hours in the afternoon. A little ice does wonders. I’ve also noticed he’s a lot lower lately. My dr told me this is common with 2nd babies. I have an appointment on Wednesday, I’m interested to see what he has to say and how big I’m measuring.
Exercise: I’ve been getting out of breath quicker at the gym lately. I usually do 40 minutes of cardio and 10-20 minutes of weights 3-4 days a week. For cardio, I walk at an 8.0 incline for 15 minutes with a 5 minute warm up/ cool down and then I’ll do the elliptical for the remainder of the time doing intervals with incline and resistance. For weights, I do legs everyday alternating days for lunges, squats and a few machines. Arms are my least favorite, I try to do 10 push ups and dips before bed at night. When I’m at the gym, I’ll do a few machines but nothing set in stone. I think this next week I’ll take it down a notch with the incline while walking and see if that makes a difference. I’m determined to be able to keep this up to the end but I will of course listen to my body and do whats best for Luke and myself.
What I Miss: Painting my toes. I tried to do them today and it was such a pain. Pedicures from here on out! What I’m Looking Forward To: Crossing some things off the before baby #2 list this week.
