Shopping for nursing bras was one of the things I despised after I gave birth to AG. I had purchased a few cheap ones from Target before she was born, not knowing what I really needed in a nursing bra. Once she was born, I wasn’t happy with the lack of support the ones I purchased had. The spandex material was comfortable, I will say that. They just weren’t what I was looking for or used to. So, I headed to another maternity store in search for a bra with full coverage and good support. I took my mom with me, I remember that day like it was yesterday. I cannot even tell you how many bras I tried on. I’m sure I went through every brand in the store. Nothing fit comfortably. I left the store that day discouraged. Throughout the entire year I nursed AG, I wore the ones I originally purchased never finding what I was looking for on that shopping trip.
Right before L was born Bravado Designs sent me a nursing bra. It was the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra in butterscotch. I immediately opened it, washed it and packed it away in my hospital bag. The material was soft, it looked supportive but the true test would be after L was born. Fingers crossed that it was what I had been looking for and away it went.
At the hospital it was the first thing I put on after my first shower. I immediately loved how it fit. My milk hadn’t come in, so I had a little extra room in the cups, but that changed quickly. The biggest difference compared to the other nursing bras I had used in the past was the support it offers. I didn’t feel like I was sagging at all, which is exactly what I was looking for. The support along with the comfort of the material made this bra everything I was looking for. I’m not going to tell you how many times I wore it per week before I finally broke down and purchased another one. You can find some styles at Target, which is also where I bought the two Bravado nursing tanks I have.
I honestly don’t think I would have purchased a bra from Bravado Designs if I wasn’t given the opportunity to review one. It was a company I hadn’t heard of before and they’re a little pricier than what I would typically spend on a bra. With that said, I am so grateful they sent me one. If you’re a new nursing mama or about to have a new little one soon, you will want this bra. It’s worth every penny. Head on over to Bravado Designs, you’ll be thanking me later!0 Did you like this post?
