Set Your Planner Up For Success

Tomorrow evening 2015 will come to a close and the book of 2016 will be opened. I always look forward to a new year. I look forward to having a fresh start, blank pages to fill. I take time to think about what I want out of the year and even more time to plan on how to make it happen. Cornflake M&M Cookies

One of the things I look the most forward to over the holiday season is baking cookies. I host an annual cookie exchange each year, set aside a baking day for AG and I and always spend a day baking with my mom too. There is just something about being in the kitchen with the ones you love and delivering treats to friends that make the holiday season just a bit more magical. Friday Rewind

Less than one week until Christmas, can you believe it? I excited just thinking about how much fun Christmas morning will be this year. This Christmas has definitely been the most magical with AG. Three is such a fun age. We've been singing/ learning Christmas carols, looking at lights every night, ooohing and aweing over the decor at all the stores, reading Christmas books (Flip and Flop is our favorite) and so much more.  The best way to see the magic that Christmas brings is to look at it through the eyes of a child. 10 Christmas Footprint Art Ideas

One holiday tradition we've had since AG was born is making Christmas footprint art. It's something I look forward to doing each year.  While I know I can't freeze time, it's a way to press the pause button for a moment. Those itty bitty newborn toes in 2012 & 2014 will never be that small again, but I'll always have these pieces of art to cherish and remember those sweet newborn days. New Mom Meal- Gluten Free Italian Pasta Bake

One of the things that helped me the most after having both kids was not having to worry about cooking dinner thanks to a meals delivered by friends and family. Having a baby is a busy time, having a baby and a toddler is just pure chaos. Just getting through the day was an accomplishment, the last thing on my mind was cooking a meal. Both kids were a big transition for us, especially in those newborn months. Dear Santa….

Today I'm finishing up the week of gift guides with my wish list for 2015. Hubs and I have already exchanged gifts since mine showed up in it's original box last weekend. Thankfully I had all but one of his wrapped and ready. With my family, we usually draw names and set a limit to spend on that person. Last weekend when my family was here for L's baptism, we all decided we weren't going to draw names or exchange gifts this year. When it comes to shopping for men, I always have a hard time. Whether it's for my husband, father or brother, I always struggle with finding creative gifts. It's easy to get a sports shirt or memorabilia, give a picture of the kids or a gift card. This year, I wanted to think outside of the box for gifts for hubs.
