Happy friday! We survived another week and at this rate, December will be here before we know it. Can you believe the start of July is NEXT WEEK! I started to look back at the goals I set in January and immediately closed my notebook. Lets just say I haven’t accomplished half of what is on that list. If only there were more hours in a day….
Lets get right to it, shall we?
The holiday weekend is right around the corner. While I don’t know what our plans are, I’ve been busy pinning away. I’m going to do a festive mommy school unit next week with AG filled with lots of red, white and blue crafts, snacks and activities. I’m sure we’ll head on over to my parents for the 4th to enjoy time in the pool, a cookout and of course, fireworks. Then we’ll come home and curse everyone who is still doing them because we’re trying to get the baby to sleep. Oh how things change when you have kids and will do anything for some quiet time and a good nights sleep.
This child. I knew I would things would be different with a boy, but my goodness, this kid is wild. At not almost 9 months, he’s standing, walking the couch and getting into e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g I am now spending a majority of my days chasing him around, keeping him from making a bigger mess. Speaking of messes, this week is one of those weeks I want to throw all the toys away. So. Much. To. Clean. Up.
I’ve been pretty good about keeping up with my summer fun activities for AG. One day last week, she painted a beach ball and I attempted to give her a coordinating snack. As usual, these were close by for clean up!
The former teacher in my is absolutely loving this age (almost 3.) All she wants to do is learn, play school, paint, color and practice letters. She’s definitely ready for preschool in the fall. Me on the other hand, it’s going to be rough letting go.
Go here to see the rest of our summer fun plans.
You only have a few more days to take your selfie and nominate a community project for the Huggies #ultrahug campaign. I love AG’s sweet smile in this picture, I can’t believe Luke was the little just a few months ago!
One of my favorites. And oh so true.2
