We're just over two weeks away from Valentine's Day. Hard to believe, I feel like we were just taking down the Christmas decorations. To get in the holiday spirit, this week we've spent some time decorating, crafting and I've even planned some special projects coming up next week. I'm looking forward to the excitement that an upcoming holiday brings, especially with the littles. I've also been thinking of gift ideas. I like to do something small for the kids and usually go with a DIY gift for the husband. I've done a date night in jar and a basket full of goodies with cute sayings in the ... read more

Rise & Shine
Monday through Friday my alarm is set to 5am. I usually get a wide eyed reaction when people hear that. Alone time is few and far between these days and if I have to wake up before the sun comes up to get it, so be it. Honestly, waking up before my kids is the best thing I do for myself each day. Being a parent is tough. I know I'm preaching to the choir with that one. When AG was younger, I would wake up when she did. She was my alarm clock. I'd get up, get her up and our day would start. From there on out, I was pretty much hers for the day. What I accomplished was usually based on her ... read more
Chocolate Crescents + eBox Tops for Education
Did you know you can help earn extra cash for your child's school, just by grocery shopping?!? Today, I'm going to tell you how to do it all year long with Winn-Dixie and eBoxTops! When I was teaching, the Box Tops for Education program was big in our school. It was a program that students used to help our school earn extra cash. The money the program brought in went to providing students with materials, helped fund teacher materials and even went to field trips for students who couldn't afford to go. It's a wonderful program and so easy to participate in. Here is how you do it: Enrolling ... read more

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. While my house may not be decorated yet, I have started thinking about what goodies I want to bake and make with the kids over the next month. So far, I have a few different games, a long list of sweet treats to bake and a few special outfits. I haven't found cute pajamas yet and am still working on teacher gift ideas. Thankfully there is still a month to tackle these to do's. Today I'm sharing a fun printable with you. I made these O'FISH'ALLY tags a few years ago and have yet to put them to use. This year AG will be taking Valentine's to school ... read more
Friday Friday
Hello there Friday, this mama is happy to see you. Can ya'll believe we're already half way through January? It's officially been 15 days since I haven't had Starbucks. Not going to lie, I'm pretty proud of myself! I can 't say I was as stong staying away from Target though..... Last week I was feeling really overwhelmed with the new year. Not sure where to start, what to tackle first, etc. I'm happy to say that my new routine has been going much better this week. I've been able to stick to the things I want to get done each day, the biggest thing that has helped with that is keeping ... read more
for the love of coffee mugs
Waking up before my littles is how I start each day. It is the most important thing I do for myself and my sanity. The house is quiet, I'm able to plan my day, take time for myself and fuel my soul before I spend my day giving them my all. It's been over a year of waking up at 5am and I'm a better wife and mom because of it. I'll be writing a post about my morning routine next week and will go into more detail about what I use that time to do and how it helps shape my days. One of the things I look forward to the most during that quiet time is a hot cup of coffee. Key word there is HOT ... read more
20 Clean Eating Crock Pot Recipes
I've mentioned one of our goals this year is to focus on eating more clean. We're not going crazy commiting to 100% clean eating or starting with the whole 30. We're starting just by making more conscious food choices, cutting down on processed food and trying to keep a good balance. In these cool months, I tend to use my crockpot more throughout the week. It's nice to be able to throw dinner in and not have to worry about it until later. It's even better when that meal is a clean eating recipe. Today, I have 20 clean eating crock pot recipes to share with you. Some have been added to my ... read more
Overwhelmed
In my post on Friday, I mentioned how I was feeling overwhelmed last week. I spent a lot of time wondering where to start. Where to start with my monthly goals. Where to start with tackling things in the house. Where to start with my new business goals. Where to start with the blog. Where to start with ME. With a new year and new goals there can also be some pretty high expectations. With me, I was so excited about a fresh start and all of the things I want to focus on in 2016, I lost focus of my one word. Ironically that word is focus. I wasn't focusing in on one thing at a time, I was ... read more
