I am so ready for today and the weekend. It’s been a busy week here, one with little sleep lots of work and a little who ended up sick in/on our bed and me one night. Yep, this mama is so ready for the weekend!
I’m starting off the day with the most exciting news, today is my mama’s last day of work. She’s retiring after a long and wonderful career. To say we’re thrilled that she’ll be spending extra time with us is a big understatement. She’ll be taking the littles one day a week so I can work, will be joining me in my business and best of all will be able to go to the zoo, beach, you name it whenever she’s not traveling the world with papa. Last night her co-workers threw her the most perfect going away surprise dinner. It was the best send off for such a deserving person.
Last weekend I helped throw a bridal shower for my sweet SIL. She’s Disney obsessed, so the shower was a classic fairytale theme with blue and gold being the primary colors. I have a whole post coming on the shower, but I wanted to share the dessert table with you all today. Isn’t it gorgeous!?!
I’ve mentioned that one of my goals this year was to focus more on me. After being pregnant or nursing for the better part of the last 4 years, I’m ready to start feeling good about myself again, confident in my own skin. On IG this week, I shared my new spring go to outfit. You guys, I’m obsessed. Loft really hit it out of the park with their shorts this year, so much better than last. I bought the shorts and top in three different colors. It’s the most comfortable outfit I’ve worn and perfect for spring.
Last week, I made these super EASY mint chocolate cupcakes. If you’re in need of something quick to make for St. Patrick’s Day festivities, add them to your list!
Yesterday I took AG to Lowe’s and picked up a bunch of herbs and flowers for spring. We spent all afternoon outside enjoying the weather, plating flowers. Today, I hope to be able to get the herbs planted. Last year (picture above) I was able to keep them alive all season long. I hope I can do the same this year. I’m also obsessed with our planter. It keeps the herbs out of reach from little hands and takes up little space on our patio! You can find the planter here. It’s no longer available in this color, but they do have white and brown.
To finish things off today, I have a fun giveaway for you!
