I cannot believe today is the last day of September. This past month flew by, just as I expected. While the weather is still screaming summer here in Florida, the fall is officially here along with all things pumpkin. I’m trying to soak up all of the things I love about this time of year, even though life has been pretty crazy lately. Tomorrow my little man turns TWO years old! Which reminds me I need to work on his birthday letter along with AG’s letter from almost two months ago. Mom fail!
Today, I want to share some of my favorite fall things for the kids. AG is already following in her mamas shoes with her love of all things pumpkin (decor.) Every time we go to the store, she oooh’s and ahh’s over the pumpkins. While she doesn’t love to try all the pumpkin food, L makes up for it. He ate more of my pumpkin cookies than anyone else!
Fall Bucket List.
I made this list a few years ago. I print it off, put it in a frame and check things off as I go. I cannot wait to do these things with the littles in the coming months.
Fun in the kitchen. I love making rice krispies with the kids, they’re so easy and these pumpkins are perfect for fall. You can find the recipe here.
Dressing littles over the fall months is my favorite. I love so many of the styles out around this time of year, especially the tunic, legging and boot combo. The kids have pictures coming up soon, so I’ve been thinking about what I can dress them in. I’m hoping the weather cools off enough for me to be able to do this outfit for little miss.
And this is the outfit I’d love for Luke. I’m obsessed with the distressed jeans, button down shirt and little boots. The boots also come in a two tones grey that would work perfectly too!
For the past two years I’ve had a great love for essential oils. I’m not one who is looking high and low for different recipes using oils. I can’t begin to tell you what they can be used for as to remedies and all that jazz. But I can tell you that I diffuse oils every. single. night. Always lavendar mixed with something good. If I’m not feeling well, it could be peppermint or lemon. Sometime’s it’s a stress mix. It’s part of my nightly routine and I know it makes a difference in how long my colds last and how I sleep each night. So when Rocky Mountain Oils contacted me to review their this list , I jumped at the chance. Both kids had just been sick for weeks, it was perfect timing. I received counting sheep, breathe and immunity. It’s been about a month since I started putting them on the kids and I have noticed a difference. I use counting sheep every night on both kids. Luke will grab the oil and bring it to me if I forget, sticking his feet out, telling me exactly what to do. In the mornings, we put the immunity on the kids before school and daycare. Believe it or not, the kids haven’t been sick since using them. I know I’ll be grateful for this set come the winter months too. Best of all, I don’t have to mix anything or do anything to make them safe for the kids. They’re made especially for them.
