Bananas don't usually have a chance to get overripe at our house. Little man loves him some bananas, which has me getting them a few times a week. A few weeks back, we had three that were starting to look a little brown. I noticed on Sunday morning and knew it would be a great day for some baking. I wanted to make muffins, so that we could share some with the neighbors, enjoy some at home and send some home with Nana. I also wanted to make muffins the kids would actually eat, which is why I included chocolate chips in the muffins. This recipe is quick and easy, my kind of ... read more

Friday Favorites- Cold Weather Edition
Since the official start of winter, I believe Florida has had three or four really cold days. And by really cold, I mean temperatures in the 40's. This past month has been absolutely gorgeous, with what feel like fall weather. High 60's in the morning making its way up to the mid 70's in the afternoons. The kids have been playing outside everyday after school, we've all been soaking it up. This weekend, we're finally getting a REAL cold front. I mean temperatures in the 30's! It will only last a day or two, which is enough for me. I'll be able to wear my Uggs, enjoy a nice fire with hot ... read more
Teacher Valentine’s Gift Ideas
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, which has me thinking about things I can do to for AG's teachers. I'm all about any and every reason to celebrate her teachers. She absolutely adores them, as do I. I know how hard they work and how it takes a special kind of person to work with four and five year olds day in and out. Today, I have a variety of gift ideas for you. All pretty easy to put together and absolutely adorable gifts. I haven't decided which I'm going to use this year. Considering how long it's taking me these days to get things checked off my list, I better get on it pretty ... read more
Friday Favorites
We're almost half way through January. Can you believe it? I talked last week about how I was still trying to get used to new routines and things set in place for the year. It's the same story this week. I've been successfully using my planner and getting things accomplished. I've tried out some new apps that were recommended to me and I'm loving them so far. I've done some meal planning, have a book to start and my decluttering project is under way. While I don't have a ton to show for what I've accomplished, the wheels are moving. I feel pretty good about how the year has started off. ... read more
Mother + Son Bucket List
Just over twenty seven months ago, L entered this world. He was a dream come true, I couldn't get enough of him. Every ounce of him was (and still is) pure sweetness. I wasn't prepared for how having a boy would be different than having a girl. It's something that is hard for me to describe and maybe it's just a first vs second child thing, but it is. I have a different bond with each of my littles, each so very special in their own way. Last year, I shared a mother + daughter bucket list filled with things I am looking forward to doing with my little lady. One of my goals for the new year ... read more
Friday Favorites
Happy Friday friends! I survived the first week back to work after break. It was tough but it was also nice to get back into a routine. I was worried both kids would have a hard time going back after being home with me for two weeks, but they did great. My goal this weekend is to get some of my lists finished. I started a few in the back of my planner that I'll continue throughout the year. House stuff, personal goals, a bucket list of sorts and things for the kids. After I finish those, I want to finish my January goals and maybe even clean up the apps on my phone. Maybe. Fun stuff, ... read more

Oh 2017, you've come in with a bang! It's January 4th and I've yet to even fill out a page in my planner. I've spend hours, yes hours trying to figure out how to organize my days. I went back to using an Erin Condren planner again this year. Since I no longer work from home, I don't need a planner with daily pages and time slots. I love how colorful the Life Planner's are and how there are a lot of extra pages for me to use. You can count on seeing an entire post on how I'm organizing my time this year and what I'm saying NO to as well. I have high hopes for a productive but FUN year! I may ... read more
One Word 2017- Forward
Happy New Year! It's hard to believe 2017 is already here. I'd be lying if I said I was excited about the arrival of the new year. 2016 was tough year. It was a year filled with change and sadness. Lots of unexpected events and too many wonderful people taken from this world too soon. Even though 2016 was tough, it was also filled with a lot of happiness and cherished moments. There were so many memories made with the littles. They're both growing by leaps and bounds. There really is no better joy than seeing life through their eyes and being a part of all of their magical moments. They ... read more
