Start the month off right by doing these 5 things…. May 1st is here. I say it every year, but this year sure is flying by. School will be out at the end of the month. Summer will be gone in the blink of an eye. And everyone knows, my mind will be on all things pumpkin and Christmas after that. So yes, time is flying. I can’t stop it. I looked at my 2018 bucket list last week and realized I needed to get a jump on some of the things on that list. So, here is your friendly reminder as a new month is here. Think about your goals for the year. Where are you in reaching them? What are some ... read more
Lemon Blueberry Muffins
Last weekend, I took the littles blueberry picking. We had so much fun strawberry picking last month. When I saw on FB that there was a blueberry farm a few miles away and decided it would be the perfect Saturday afternoon activity. It was also a gorgeous weekend, so being outdoors was a must! These two are growing way too fast! We had a lot of fun. It wasn't too packed, there was a nice breeze and even a little place for the kids to play when we checked out. We ended up coming home with two bags full of blueberries. While, I like blueberries in my yogurt, coconut (Greek to be exact) ... read more

25 days. Just 25 days left of the school year and this teacher-mama is beyond ready for summer vacation. The big testing time of the year is upon us and I’m feeling the stress. Thankfully these next couple weeks will go by pretty fast and the big countdown will be on. One of my big goals this summer is to revamp this little space of mine, making it more current with my life these days. And you guys, this is my third post this week. It's amazing what a little extra energy can do! Since today is Friday, THANK GOODNESS, it’s time for me to share some favorites from the week. ONE I've talked ... read more
30 days & a new ME
Since I've had my kids, I've worked hard to try to get my health and body back to the place it was before kids. It's definitely been a struggle over the last 5 years, with many highs and lows throughout. I think it's something many of us moms experience. I definitely was someone who enjoyed eating (probably too much) when I was pregnant. I took eating for two literally, especially with my first pregnancy. Right when I had lost all the weight from my first pregnancy, when AG was about a year and a half- I found out I was pregnant with L. I was much more mindful the with my second pregnancy, ... read more
Easy Desk Makeover
Over the last month, I've been working on making over my home office. In the past, it was where I ran my embroidery business. It was also a craft room, where all of my creations and tools were stored. Over the past year, I haven't really used the room at all. So, I made a goal for 2018 to makeover the office into a place the kids and I could both use. A place that was uncluttered (as much as possible) and functional. For me, I wanted a nice work space for when I did my crafts or embroidery here and there. I also wanted a work area for school work. I am grading papers most nights and also want ... read more
Friday Faves
The time is here. The time for me to dust off my keyboard, and get this little sit back up and active. I've missed this space of mine. I've missed sharing new recipes I finally made. I miss sharing deals or products that the kids LOVE. Most of all I miss the community that surrounds blogging. I read a book recently that said you needed to have three types of hobbies- one that will make you money, one that keep you in shape and one that allows you to be creative. Not only does this blog help a bit financially, it's a big creative outlet for me. When I blog, I cook more, I create more and am ... read more
DIY Date Night In Jar
When it comes to Valentine's ideas for the men in your life, it can be tricky! Valentine's Day is all about love and the gift should be a representation of your love. A few years back, I created a date night in jar for my Simply Made with Love Blog. I came up with a lot of date night in ideas to place in the jar. I thought about ideas that would be planned all week long and others that could be last minute. The ideas available for printing range from watching his favorite movie to playing her favorite game to having a themed dinner night at home. This is definitely a gift that will keep on ... read more
Immaculate S’mores Cookies
My favorite thing about the holiday season is making memories. As a mom, my goal is to make memories with my kids each year that they'll never forget. Many of these memories are of annual traditions, others can be those once in a lifetime experiences or just the day to day holiday celebrations. Something I look the most forward to over the holidays is baking. For as long as I can remember, my holidays have involved baking. Usually with my mom and grandma in the kitchen, making the same traditional cookies each year. We'd listen to music, taste test as we went and boxed them up for ... read more
December 2017 Desktop Wallpapers
My last post was a month ago, life has been just so busy. Good busy thought. As usual, December snuck up on me. I spent a lot of time after Thanksgiving getting ready for Christmas. I finished my Christmas shopping before the 1st, planned out social events for the kids and even did a calendar for our elf friend. Yet, I still feel like I'm behind. I vote to add a few more hours to each day throughout December- or maybe only having to work half days throughout the month. Wouldn't that be nice? Since the month is here, it's time for some new desktop wallpapers. My goal today is to update all of ... read more
November Desktop Wallpapers
November. How? How are there only 8 more weeks left of 2017? How is Christmas just around the corner? How did November get here so quickly? I celebrated the new month with some quiet morning time planning and a Starbucks Christmas cup. Yes, they're already out. And they're beautiful this year. As I was planning yesterday, I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. There is so much that needs to be done for the holidays. So many things I want to do with the kids, things I want to create and bake for my coworkers. My goal this weekend is to sit down and write everything down. I also will be making ... read more
