A few months ago, my biggest little turned five years old. Her birthday was on the first day of Kindergarten. I was all sorts of emotional that day. These past five years since she's been born have flown by. So much has changed in life, it's hard to even remember what the newborn days of her life were like. She's such a sweet and beautiful girl, I sure do love watching her grow up. Now that she's older, she's the one that makes the birthday party decisions. I think she chose the Moana theme a few weeks after her fourth birthday party. I thought for sure she'd change her mind over the next ... read more
Paw Patrol Birthday Party
A few weeks ago we celebrated L's upcoming 2nd birthday and AG turning 4. I'm still in disbelief that they are growing so fast. When thinking about their parties this year, I decided to do a joint party. Their birthdays are only 6 weeks apart, they have a lot of the same friends and I figured this is one of the last years AG won't be picky on her theme or who is invited. So I picked a date in the middle of both birthdays and searched for a location that would be fun for kids of all ages. I settled on a bounce house/ play area that is about 20 minutes from our house. I loved the idea of one ... read more
50 Mother + Daughter Bucket List Ideas
In just over two weeks my little girl will be four years old. FOUR! Day by day she's growing up and I'm sitting here grateful for the memories we've made, wishing those years didn't go by quite so fast. Today, I look into her big brown eyes and I see an independent, beautiful, sweet and sensitive little girl. One who loves painted nails with sparkles, princess dresses and My Little Pony. Her imagination continues to amaze me. She loves pretending to be "the lady" taking orders for the store, writing down what we need in her little Paw Patrol notebook. Watching her become a little lady is ... read more

Threenager
We're a month and a few days into three. In the past month, I've learned that the term THREENAGER is a real thing. If you haven't heard the term before, it's pretty much comparing a three year old to a 13 year old. The I want it, when I want it's, the rules don't apply to me, the stubbornness and the sass, oh the sass! I knew these days were coming, I just thought I had about 10 more years to prepare myself. Let me first say that I really do love this age. I've always called AG my best friend but she's really turned into my little sidekick. We talk all day, she's full of questions (about ... read more

Back to School in Style
“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carter’s. I received a complimentary gift card to facilitate my review and thank me for my participation.” The last week of summer vacation is officially here. Next week, AG starts preschool three mornings a week. I've been busy making sure she has everything she needs to get the school year off to a smooth start. School supplies have been purchased. I've scoured Pinterest for healthy and fun lunch options and her lunch box has been monogrammed. I have a station set up for homework and a place to display the ... read more
To my daughter on your third birthday
Miss AG. My sweet girl, you are three years old today. THREE! I'm not sure how it's already been three years since you made your entrance into this world. Three whole years! Three years of morning snuggles. Three years of staying home with you. Three years of lots of books and kisses goodnight. Three years of checking the monitor after you're in bed, talking with your dad about how much of a light you are in our lives. Three years have passed by so quickly and I'm absolutely sure they've been the best three years of my life. Three years ago you were the answer to so many prayers. You made ... read more
Mama, Hold Me
Three sweet words, I don't hear often enough. As AG gets older, she's becoming more independent. "Mama, I want to get down. I want to walk by myself." Gone are the days of going to Target with a baby on my chest and the second in the cart. She now wants to walk all by herself. Which usually turns into running and chasing her around the store. The other day, she opened the pantry, pulled a step stool up and grabbed a granola bar. "Mama, my tummy is grumpy, I need something to eat." She didn't ask for help, she did it herself. One of AG's favorite things to do is get L up from his nap. Last ... read more
