The first day of fall was almost a week ago. Miss AG kept saying over and over that it was a holiday. Of course, I completely agreed with her. Fall is definitely something to celebrate. Unfortunately, it's still well into the 90's here in Florida and oh so muggy every morning. I'm over it and beyond ready for the cool fall weather, which will hopefully be here by Christmas. Even though it doesn't feel like fall, I've still been baking all things pumpkin. A few weeks back, I tried out a new pumpkin donut recipe. We had a few friends coming over for a morning playdate and I didn't feel like ... read more
30 Baked Donut Recipes
A few years ago, I started making baked donuts. My mom bought me a donut pan and I found a bunch of easy recipes online for donuts. Many of them just using cake mix. After making them a few times, I became addicted. Not only were they fun to make, they were pretty tasty too. The first few donuts you see on the list below are my tried and true favorites. I can tell you they're delicious and easy. Today, I have a round up of 30 different donut recipes for you to try. Some of them are with cake mix, some a few more ingredients, some perfect for spring and others would pair nicely with a ... read more
Easy Mint Oreo Parfait
Last weekend, I hosted Sunday family dinner at my house for the first time in way too long. When I was younger, my family always did something special on Sunday evenings. Many of those evenings were spent at the beach, playing in the sand, swimming in the ocean...always followed by milkshakes at Checkers. Always. When I think about what I want my kids to remember and the traditions I want to start, family dinners are on the top of that list. One of the biggest blessings in my life- besides my kids of course- is having my family close. My littles think Nana and Papa hung the moon and I ... read more
Strawberry Lemon Muffins
I mentioned a few weeks back I wasn't done with the strawberry recipes. Today is the last recipe from the big batch of strawberries we picked a few months ago. I have to say that this recipe was my new favorite. I've never combined lemon and strawberries in a baked good before, so glad I gave it a try. The combination of sweet and tart is what made these muffins so good. They're also pretty to look at too. When baking muffins or cupcakes, I always let the kids pick out the liners for the pan. AG picked these out to match the lemons on the table. Girl after my own heart! The fresh ... read more
Strawberry Banana Mini Loaves
The strawberry recipes keep on coming and I'm not done yet! When I took the littles strawberry picking last month, we had SO many strawberries left over. So many. When thinking of things to bake with all the strawberries, I thought about what would be easiest to share with the neighbors. Therefore, muffins and breads were what I decided on. They're easy to give, can make enough to share with a bunch of different families and don't call for an abundance of ingredients, making them inexpensive to make. Especially since we picked the strawberries, getting a great deal on them. Before making ... read more
Strawberry Muffins
About five years ago, I made a delicious strawberry bread from a recipe a friend shared with me. After the first bite, I was instantly hooked. It was that good. The first loaf I made was gone in about 20 minutes, with the help of family who was visiting. Over the years, I've continued to make it as it's one of the most requested recipes I have and a favorite to make. Especially around Strawberry Festival time here in Florida. This year I decided to turn it into a muffin recipe, so I could share them with more people. I definitely don't need an entire loaf of bread at home for me and I love ... read more
Easy Valentine’s Heart Treats
Valentine's Day is less than a week away. I'm sitting here, trying to figure out what I want to make and bake over the next week. I also need to figure out what I need to purchase for teacher gifts. The one thing I already have done is the kids' Valentine's cards. AG just has to write her name on hers, which we've already started working on. She's not a fan of working at home, so I figured doing a few at night for a few days is going to be our best bet. Today, I'm sharing a fun and easy little treat idea. We did it last year for our neighbors and for friends at a playdate. This year, I think ... read more
Cinnamon Sugar + Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
Bananas don't usually have a chance to get overripe at our house. Little man loves him some bananas, which has me getting them a few times a week. A few weeks back, we had three that were starting to look a little brown. I noticed on Sunday morning and knew it would be a great day for some baking. I wanted to make muffins, so that we could share some with the neighbors, enjoy some at home and send some home with Nana. I also wanted to make muffins the kids would actually eat, which is why I included chocolate chips in the muffins. This recipe is quick and easy, my kind of ... read more
Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cake Mix Cookies
Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cake Mix Cookies One of my favorite things about the holiday season is baking. I bake more in the holiday months than throughout the entire year. There's just something about the cooler weather, fresh baked cookies or bread and a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. I also love delivering baked goodies to neighbors and friends. Each year, I start to make a list of things I plan on baking from during the holidays over the summer. Sounds crazy, but it saves me a lot of time during this busy time of year. I usually do this on Pinterest, pinning to a secret holiday ... read more
Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Happy second day of fall friends! I'm that girl who becomes giddy when the first pumpkin spice products hit the aisles come the beginning of September. I go overboard with the pumpkin candles, soap, treats, body wash, hand sanitizer and more. I love it. I look forward to it. It's my FAVORITE time of the year. Something else that comes along with the pumpkin spice products is the baking in my house. I love it. This past weekend, AG asked to make cookies. That is one thing I'll NEVER say no to, so I decided to celebrate fall starting with pumpkin cookies. Over the years, I've made tons of ... read more
